As you guys may remember, we don’t take recruiting rankings too seriously. It’s an inexact science at best. Duke has recruited a few guys who eventually outperformed highly ranked players and some highly ranked guys who transferred to a less competitive program, like say Mike Chappell going to Michigan State.
So when we say that Kara Lawson has brought in three former five star players as transfers, yes, it’s pretty cool, we’re glad they’re here...but they’re still transfers, meaning they may not have lived up to expectations or had the roles they expected.
On the other hand, it’s a fresh start and that’s usually a good thing and they’re all talented basketball players and should help.
