The other day an Illinois site suggested that Duke target DJ Steward was about to cut his list and predicted it would be these schools: Texas, Duke, UNC, Louisville, Northwestern, Marquette, Arizona and Illinois.
Five were right: Texas, Duke, UNC, Louisville and Illinois are still in play.
Marquette, Arizona and Northwestern weren’t on his actual list. The potential suitors were replaced with Iowa State, Indiana (as we said, we thought Archie Miller might attempt to get in and he has) and DePaul.
It’s obviously Steward’s decision and maybe he’s changed since he was at Virginia, but we can’t imagine a guy who’d be less fun to play for than DePaul’s Dave Leitao.
