DURHAM – The Duke softball program has been named the No. 20 team in the nation in the USA Today/NFCA preseason rankings, as the organization announced on Tuesday.
The Blue Devils are one of four ACC programs in the top-25, joining No. 4 Florida State, No. 13 Virginia Tech and No. 15 Clemson. The Blue Devils match the ranking the team ended with following the 2021 season.
Head Coach Marissa Young and the Blue Devils return 17 members of last season's ACC Championship team, headlined by three players ranked in the nation's top-100 by Extra Innings Softball and Softball America – graduate student Peyton St.
