DURHAM, N.C.—The Duke men’s soccer team, fresh off of a second-place finish in the ACC’s Coastal Division in 2017, has been picked to take third in a vote of the league’s 12 coaches. The Blue Devils come in behind North Carolina and Virginia and edge out Notre Dame.
North Carolina was picked by the coaches as the overall champion with 10 first-place votes. Louisville and Wake Forest also both received one nod in the poll. UNC amassed 70 points in the Coastal Division, Virginia 53 and Duke 46. Notre Dame came in at 40. Virginia Tech was picked to finish sixth.
