Duke Pair Earns Super Bowl Rings

DURHAM, N.C. – Former Duke standouts Kenny Anunike and Juwan Thompson will add the label “Super Bowl Champion” to their resumes as members of the Denver Broncos. Denver defeated Carolina, 24-10, in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday night to claim the organization’s third NFL championship.

The Broncos posted a 12-4 ledger to capture the AFC West championship before defeating Pittsburgh (23-16), New England (20-18) and Carolina in the playoffs to secure the NFL title.

Anunike, a native of Galena, Ohio, played in three games during the 2015 regular season, registering one tackle, before finishing the season on Denver’s injured reserve list.
