SHREVEPORT, La. – After early morning visits to Barksdale Air Force Base and the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Home, the Duke football team finished its community service initiatives with a trip to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.
The mission of the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana is to serve as the primary resource for fighting hunger in Northwest Louisiana. Its vision is to ultimately end hunger in Northwest Louisiana by ensuring consolidated network of effective food collection and distribution, which will provide universal access to food for the needy in our communities.
Temple also made a trip to the food bank as the programs competed to see who could pack more potatoes.
