Duke Lacrosse put together an epic comeback performance to beat the Tar Heels 12-8 in a thrilling rivalry matchup between the programs.
The Blue Devils struggled at the start of the contest, falling behind 6-1 early in the second period. However the team began to turn it around defensively heading into halftime, pulling to within two goals trailing 7-5.
Then, Duke came out on fire in the second half outscoring UNC 7-1 after the break, including 5 goals in the final period. The defense was exceptional and allowed only two goals in the final 41:47 of play.
