The Opening Faceoff
- Duke turns its attention to the ACC Tournament following a 15-12 setback to North Carolina to close the regular season. Duke is the No. 3 seed based on goal differential tiebreak between UNC and Virginia. This will be the first ACC Tournament for any of the current Blue Devils.
- Duke and Syracuse are meeting for the 25th time and for the fourth time in ACC postseason action. The Orange defeated the Blue Devils, 10-4, in the regular season and owns a 15-9 lead in the series and 3-0 in ACC Tournament play.
