NOTRE DAME, Ind.—Fifth-ranked Duke held No. 10 Notre Dame without a goal in the second half and six different Blue Devils scored goals en route to an 8-2 ACC men’s lacrosse victory at a sold-out Arlotta Stadium Saturday afternoon.
Duke improves to 10-2 and 2-1 in league action, while Notre Dame falls to 5-4 overall and 1-2 in ACC play. The two goals allowed by the Blue Devils mark the fewest a Duke team has let in an ACC game since beating Virginia 17-2 April 16, 2005.
The Fighting Irish scored the game’s first goal, but the Blue Devils responded with four unanswered for the 4-1 lead early in the second period.
