One way to earn a PGA Tour card is to finish in the top 25 of the money list for an entire season on the Web.com Tour. And that is exactly what former Duke golf standout Wes Roach did on Sunday.
The 29-year-old from Knoxville, Tenn., entered the final tournament of the season in 28th place, needing a strong showing at the Web.com Tour Championship at the Atlantic Beach Country Club in Atlantic Beach, Fla., to propel him into the top 25. He finished the tournament tied for 17th, which proved to be just enough to get the job done — thanks to his eagle on the 18th hole.
