For the second consecutive week Duke Football played in a game with a crazy ending, but unfortunately the Blue Devils were on the losing end this time. Duke lost it’s first conference game to Miami 30-27 after an extremely controversial ending that will be sure to make headlines throughout the week.
The Blue Devils were leading 27-24 with 6 seconds left in the game after a rushing touchdown and 2-point conversion by QB Thomas Sirk. It appeared Sirk had led the Duke offense down the field for a game-winning play for the second straight game, but on the kickoff after the score Miami ran it back for a touchdown using 8 laterals.
