DURHAM, N.C. – A flurry of second-half goals highlighted the Blue Devils’ final exhibition contest against Old Dominion Saturday afternoon at Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium.
Head coach Pam Bustin’s squad rounded out its preseason with a strong defensive effort against the Monarchs. Redshirt junior Sammi Steele and sophomore Lydia Smeltz anchored the shutout performance in goal for Duke while seven different players recorded at least one point on the day. Senior forward Caroline Andretta led the way offensively with two tallies and an assist.
