Over the weekend, Duke participated in the first-ever B1G/ACC Field Hockey Cup featuring some of the top teams from both conferences. The Blue Devils were able to win consecutive games against Top 10 ranked teams from the opposing conference in the event, which will hopefully give them momentum for the rest of the year.
Duke Field Hockey won 2 close games in the B1G/ACC Cup beating #10 Northwestern 2-1 and earning a 2-1 overtime upset victory over #3 Maryland. Against the Wildcats, Duke was scoreless for most of the game but scored 2 goals within the final 10 minutes to win.
