Duke Field Hockey ended the ACC regular season with a 3-0 victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels. The win gave Blue Devils the regular season conference championship and #1 seed for the ACC tournament for the first time in program history.
The 2nd-ranked Blue Devils shut out the 4th-ranked Tar Heels to clinch the ACC regular season title and beat UNC for the first time since 2013. Duke lost in Chapel Hill with UNC handing the the team their first loss of the season after the best start in school history, and the Blue Devils fell short to UNC in the Final Four last season.
