CHAPEL HILL, N.C.—The Duke wrestling team opened its 2018 dual schedule with a hard-fought 23-20 setback to Army West Point at the Carolina Duals Friday morning. The Blue Devils won five of the 10 bouts, but bonus points proved to be the difference.
Duke got off to a fast start against the Black Knights, jumping ahead 12-0 after three matches. Brandon Leynaud started the day with a bang, pinning Knox Fuller in the first period to give the Blue Devils the 6-0 cushion. The fall was the third of the season and sixth of his career.
