PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – The Duke tandem of senior Beatrice Capra and freshman Ellyse Hamlin, ranked 39th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) preseason doubles poll, remained perfect on the season after defeating back-to-back opponents at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif., Thursday afternoon. The duo owns an overall record of 8-0 in 2015.
After qualifying for the doubles main draw with three straight qualifying draw victories, Capra and Hamlin continued their winning ways, upsetting the 11th-ranked duo of Yulya Lysa and Shannon Hudson of Arkansas, 8-5.
