Incoming Duke Women’s Basketball guard Mikayla Boykin earned the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) Performance of the Week award after two dominant performances last week. The local Clinton, NC product will join the Blue Devils next season.
Boykin earned the state’s top weekly award after compiling two commanding double-doubles last week in blowout wins for Clinton High School. She recorded 34 points and 10 rebounds in a 90-37 win over Wallace-Rose Hill, followed by a 47 points and 17 rebounds performance in a 103-33 win over Rocky Point Trask. Earlier this season, the 5-9 guard broke the state single-game scoring record registering 62 points.
