DURHAM – Rookie Andrew Yu finished 2-for-3 with a double but it wasn't enough as the Blue Devils came up short, 6-3, to Wake Forest on Saturday night at David F. Couch Ballpark in Winston Salem.
Duke dropped the series to the Demon Deacons and fall to 13-18 overall and 3-11 in ACC play. Wake Forest improves to 24-7 (8-6 ACC).
Yu's multi-hit performance was the third of his career and his first since March 4 against Bucknell. Graduate student Wil Hoyle recorded his first home run of the season, a two-run shot in the second inning.
