LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Athletic Club has announced Duke sophomore Kyle Filipowski as one of 25 players named to the midseason watch list for the John R. Wooden Award, presented by Principal.
Chosen by a poll of national college basketball experts based on their performances during the 2023-24 season thus far, the list comprises 25 student-athletes who are front-runners for the sport's most prestigious honor.
Hailing from Westtown, New York, Filipowski was tabbed a Preseason All-American and ACC Preseason Player of the Year after a prolific freshman season.
