The ACC Media Day has come and gone and the votes have been counted for the ACC Preseason Media Poll.
The Duke Blue Devils, the 2019 ACC Tournament Champions, was tabbed as the favorite to win the conference despite the departure of several key members of last year’s team and a new crop of freshmen entering Durham.
Duke received 51 of a possible 111 first place votes with the North Carolina Tar Heels receiving 19, the Louisville Cardinals receiving 29, and the defending National Champions, the Virginia Cavaliers, receiving 12.
Despite the first place votes, the Tar Heels were projected to finish second in the ACC with the Cardinals third and the Cavaliers fourth.
