DURHAM, N.C. - Sophomore Leah Crouse's goal proved just enough for the Blue Devils, as Duke defeated Old Dominion 1-0 Sunday afternoon at Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium on Senior Day.
Crouse scored her eighth goal of the season in the 28th minute, gathering a loose ball inside the circle and connecting with the far-left side of the cage to put Duke up 1-0. Redshirt senior goalkeeper Sammi Steele totaled two saves in a shutout performance, the 23rd of her career.
Duke is back in action Friday, Oct. 18 on the road at Virginia.
