Unlike Northwestern, there would be no late comeback from Kansas. The Jayhawks were down 45-27 in the 4th and hit a long bomb for a touchdown to cut it to 45-33, failing the two-point conversion attempt.
Duke got the points back plus one a few minutes later when Gunnar Holmberg ran the ball in for another touchdown, making it 52-33 with 5:23 to go. Jake Bobo got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after that which we thought would have been straighten out after the problems there against Northwestern but maybe not.
Kansas put together a nice last drive but Duke intercepted with 3:02 to play and
Holmberg had a particularly good game, connecting on 22-29 passes for
passes for 328 yards.
