Think of the ever-growing list of legendary coaching foes Mike Krzyzewski has encountered in high school gyms across America ever since taking over the reins of the Duke basketball program way back in 1980

The ’80s and ’90s included such icons as Georgetown’s John Thompson and North Carolina’s now-late Dean Smith. At the start of this millennium, some of Coach K’s primary competitors for the game’s future gems were Rick Pitino, Jim Calhoun, and Billy Donovan.

Nowadays, many of the names have changed — even though several of the programs remain the same and a couple of the names have been in the coaching game for decades.
