DURHAM, N.C. – With the 2019 season opener less than two weeks away, head coach Chris Pollard and the Duke baseball program are excited to announce right-handed pitcher Colten Smith as part of the Blue Devils’ most recent recruiting class.
“Colten Smith is a right-handed pitcher out of Germantown Academy with a very good slider,” said Pollard. “He’s got a chance to have a wipeout slider, and he’s been up to 91 miles per hour. He possesses a long loose frame that’s very projectable, and he’s going to put some size on once he gets in our strength and conditioning program.
