DURHAM, N.C. – Head coach Chris Pollard and the Duke baseball program are excited to announce the signing of 6-6 right-hander Cameron Kovachik to a National Letter of Intent. Kovachik is currently a senior at Masuk High School in Monroe, Conn., and is set to join the Blue Devils in the fall of 2016.
“Cam Kovachik reminds us a lot of Michael Matuella,” said Pollard. “He’s a 6-6 kid who’s going to grow into his body. Cam’s got a lot of projection. He’s been up to 92 miles per hour and he’s a really accomplished strike thrower with advanced command for his size and velocity.
