The loss of Jai Lucas last season left some gaps that Coach Jon Scheyer looked to fill this offseason on the coaching staff. The first add for the rising 4th year coach was welcoming Evan Bradds a former Utah Jazz assistant coach to the staff. Today it was announced that Coach Scheyer has added a former Blue Devil player to the staff and one that Duke Basketball fans will know well in Tyler Thornton. Thornton, 33, played under Coach K from 2010-2014 and most recently was an assistant coach at Howard University after ending his pro career in 2019.
