There was wide spread derision after the New York Giants picked Duke’s Daniel Jones with the #6 pick and only time will tell how wise the pick was.
The derision was not universal however as some people love Jones and his potential. Among them: former Dallas exec Gil Brandt, ESPN’s Greg Cosell and former NFL quarterback Kurt Warner.
We’re hardly football experts but for our New York friends we can tell you this: this guy’s growth since he was a freshman is amazing. He’s also very tough and aside from his positional growth, he came to Duke as a really skinny high school kid.
