DURHAM – Senior attacker Katie DeSimone was among the 50 players named to the initial Tewaaraton Award Watch List, as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation Friday evening.
The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by The Tewaaraton Foundation.
Duke has featured players on the Tewaaraton Award watch list in 22 of the last 23 years since its inception in 2001. Former Blue Devil Katie Chrest received the prestigious honor following the 2005 season.
