DURHAM – Junior infielder Deja Davis was named a Top 25 Finalist for the 2021 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award, as announced by the organization on Friday afternoon.
The honor marks the first time in program history that a Blue Devil has been recognized as a finalist for the award.
Davis was one of four student-athletes from the ACC selected as Clemson's Valerie Cagle, Virginia Tech's Keely Rochard and Notre Dame's Abby Sweet were also recognized.
