At some point, Dan Dakich, who likes to talk and gets paid for it, irritates just about everyone.
For us, that point came when he compared the Louisville-Kentucky rivalry to Duke-UNC.
Dakich posted this on Twitter: “Duke - UNC is a nice rivalry with great games BUT Nothing matches the hate between the fanbases like Louisville - Kentucky”
To which we say: Dakich reveals his essential provincialism. The difference is this: we have to live with each other here. We can’t afford to get into fights at blood banks. You do that here and you’ll go home and get in a fist fight with your brother-in-law or the person you share your cubicle with.
