Where does Coach K stand with the greats now?
Mike Krzyzewski completed his run as coach of Team USA Sunday by leading the United States to the 2016 Olympic gold medal in Rio de Janeiro.
That gives him an 88-1 record as coach of Team USA with six titles in seven tournaments – five for six in championship competitions. He’s the first coach to lead any team to three Olympic gold medals (Henry Iba led the United States to gold in 1964 and 1968, but fell just short in 1972). He’s also the first coach in history to lead his nation to five straight major international titles.
