Cosme's Early Goal Leads Duke Past Ole Miss, 1-0

CARY, N.C. – Senior Caitlin Cosme scored off a corner kick in the third minute, and the No. 9 seeded Duke women's soccer team held off a late attack to beat Ole Miss, 1-0, in the NCAA Tournament Round of 16 at the WakeMed Soccer Complex.

The Blue Devils (12-5-3) established pressure early and earned a corner kick when junior Delaney Graham's cross from the right corner was deflected behind the end line. Senior Tess Boade played the corner to the near post, where Cosme headed home her sixth goal of the season to give Duke an early advantage.
