DURHAM – Duke women's soccer standouts Michelle Cooper and Ruthie Jones have been selected preseason First Team All-Americans by CollegeSoccerNews.
The Blue Devil duo were two of 11 first team selections on the list that was released over the weekend.
Cooper, the 2021 TopDrawerSoccer National and ACC Freshman of the Year, is coming off a season where she led Duke with 12 goals and 29 points, while tying for second on the team with five assists. Her 12 goals set a Blue Devil freshman record. She became the first Duke player to score six goals over her first six career matches and went on to be a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy.
