Duke Football is already expected to add one of the top recruiting classes in school history for the 2016-2017 season, and it might improve even more. 3-star safety prospect Eric Burrell recently announced his top five schools to play for next year, naming Duke as a finalist along with Boston College, Nebraska, Syracuse, and Wisconsin.

Eric Burrell is a very talented safety from the McDonogh School in Owing Mills, MD. At 6-11.5 and 174 pounds, he’s a very quick and physical player who is able to defend in multiple ways against opposing offenses, because he “reads plays well and breaks on passes with a good burst” and “in the running game, he is quick to recognize the play and he gets low and tackles at the waist”.
