DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke field hockey team was picked to finish second in the ACC, as announced by the conference office Tuesday following a vote of the league’s seven head coaches. The ACC also released Tuesday its 11-player preseason all-conference team, which included 2016 All-ACC first team selection Alyssa Chillano.
Chillano, a senior back from Phoenixville, Pa., was one of five student-athletes on the preseason squad to earn first team All-America recognition from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association a year ago. Chillano led the Blue Devils in points (32) and goals (13) during the 2016 campaign.
