DURHAM – Duke redshirt junior defensive end DeWayne Carter has been named to the 2022 watch list for the Wuerffel Trophy, awarded to College Football's Community Service leader.
The 2022 list includes 115 players from college football's Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS).
Carter joins a long list of former Blue Devils nominated for this prestigious award over the last 15 years – Jake Bobo, Re'quan Boyette, Gabe Brandner, Kelby Brown, Rakavius Chambers, DeVon Edwards, Dave Harding, Kevin Jones, Johnathan Lloyd, Bryan Morgan, Koby Quansah, Sean Renfree, and Laken Tomlinson.
