DURHAM, N.C. — Coming off collecting her second collegiate victory over the weekend in Wilmington, N.C., Duke University women’s golf senior Virginia Elena Carta has been selected the Co-ACC Golfer of the Month for October.
In nine rounds in the month, Carta carded seven even or under par scores, while helping lead Duke to team victories at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational and the Landfall Tradition.
A senior from Udine, Italy, Carta registered rounds of 72, 72 and 72 to tie for first along with teammate Gina Kim at the Landfall Tradition.
