LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Junior Jack Carey put in seven stellar innings of work on the mound and the Duke baseball team blasted five home runs on its way to a 13-3 win over No. 15 Louisville at Jim Patterson Stadium in Louisville.
The Blue Devils outhit the Cardinals 16-8 in the contest, highlighted by graduate student Peter Matt's 4-for-5 day. Matt recorded a career-high six RBIs on two home runs and a double. Junior RJ Schreck also excelled in the batter's box, finishing 3-for-4 with two home runs, three RBIs and two walks.
