DURHAM, N.C. – With Tuesday's announcement of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-America Team, Duke freshman Vernon Carey Jr., has earned consensus second-team All-America honors for the 2019-20 season from the NCAA.
Carey and sophomore teammate Tre Jones were both tabbed third-team selections by the NABC, making Carey the 32nd Duke player to earn consensus All-America status for a total of 42 all-time selections. The consensus team is officially recognized by the NCAA to include the Sporting News, NABC, AP and USBWA honors. Twenty-three Blue Devils have been named consensus All-Americans for a combined 30 selections under head coach Mike Krzyzewski.
