Buzzer-Beater Lifts France Past Belarus

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil — Duke University alumna Lindsey Harding sank two free throws with 11 seconds remaining to give Belarus a 72-71 lead, but Endy Miyem registered an offensive rebound and bank shot as time expired to give France a 73-71 victory Sunday in Olympic action at the Youth Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

With the loss, Belarus drops to 0-2, but has lost by a combined five points in the two games.

Belarus jumped out to a 22-14 lead at the end of the first quarter and led 42-34 at the half.
