GREENSBORO, N.C. – For the eighth time over the last 15 years, a Duke women’s basketball student-athlete has been voted ACC Defensive Player of the Year as Blue Devil fifth-year senior Lexie Brown was voted by the 15 league head coaches, as announced Wednesday by the ACC office.
Brown joins Elizabeth Williams (2015, 2014, 2013, 2012), Chante Black (2009) and Lindsey Harding (2007, 2006) as Blue Devils who have been selected ACC Defensive Player of the Year.
“Lexie has remarkable instincts and uncanny timing when it comes to her defensive anticipation,” said Duke head coach Joanne P.
