DURHAM, N.C. – Former Duke University National Player of the Year Celine Boutier was selected Monday as one of four captain picks for the European Solheim Cup squad. The biennial competition will take place Sept. 9-15 in Gleneagles, Scotland versus the United States.
Boutier was selected by European captain Catriona Matthew and joined Bronte Law, Suzann Pettersen and Jodi Ewart-Shadoff as other picks. Other members of the European squad include Carlota Ciganda, Anne Van Dam, Caroline Hedwall, Charley Hull, Georgia Hall, Azahara Munoz, Carline Masson and Anna Nordqvist.
It will mark the sixth straight Solheim Cup that a Blue Devil golfer will compete in the event as former Duke two-time All-America, Brittany Lang, represented the United States in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017.
