HILTON HEAD, S.C. – In Saturday's second round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, junior Jaravee Boonchant led the way for the Duke women's golf team with a one-under, 70, at the 6,266-yard, Par 71 Pete Dye Course at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head, S.C.
Boonchant opened the day with a double-bogey on No. 1, but played her next 17 holes at three-under-par. She collected her first birdie of the day on No. 4 as she drained a 39-foot putt. On the 379-yard, par four 12th, Boonchant hit her approach from 195 yards to 15 feet and sank the birdie and then notched her third birdie of the day on the 140-yard, par three 13th as she drained the nine-foot putt.
