DURHAM, N.C. – A day after junior Gina Kim earned Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) First Team All-American accolades, the WGCA announced senior Jaravee Boonchant and sophomore Erica Shepherd received Second Team All-America honors, while freshman Phoebe Brinker was named Honorable Mention All-America on Friday.
With Boonchant being named to the second team, she became the seventh Blue Devil to earn All-American honors each of her four years, joining Leona Maguire, Lindy Duncan, Amanda Blumenherst, Liz Janangelo, Virada Nirapathpongporn and Jenny Chuasiriporn.
A native of Bangkok, Thailand, Boonchant missed the first two tournaments of the spring due to COVID-19 and traveling back from her home country.
