DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women’s lacrosse program will host a Lace Up with LAX donation game Saturday against Virginia Tech in Koskinen Stadium. Fans attending the contest are asked to bring a new pair of children’s shoes to be donated to the local homeless community. Donation boxes will be placed near the ticket booths at both entrances to the stadium.
The mission of Lace Up with LAX is to “define the legacy of our players off the field by helping end homelessness one step at a time.” Since the inception of the national non-profit organization in 2013, over 2,000 pairs of new shoes have been donated to homeless shelters across the globe.
