Blue Devils Set to Take World Stage in London

DURHAM, N.C. – A trio of current and former Blue Devils is set to represent the United States in the Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup. Team USA kicks off tournament action Saturday at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in London.

The World Cup field in London is comprised of 16 teams, broken into four pools of four teams. The U.S. women’s national team, listed No. 7 in the International Hockey Federation Hero World Rankings, will compete in Pool B along with second-ranked England, 10th-ranked India and 16th-ranked Ireland.

Pool play is slated for July 21-29, followed by crossover matches July 30-31 and quarterfinal, semifinal and medal matches Aug.
