CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The sixth-seeded Blue Devils marched into the ACC Championship semifinals with a thrilling 14-13 victory over third-seeded Notre Dame Wednesday evening at Alumni Stadium. Head coach Kerstin Kimel’s squad advanced to a semifinal meeting with second-seeded North Carolina Friday at 8 p.m. on RSN and ACC Network Extra.
The Blue Devils and Tar Heels will square off for the second time in a six-day span, as the teams last met in the April 20 regular season ACC finale in Durham.
North Carolina reached the semifinal round with a 19-9 defeat of seventh-seeded Virginia Tech Wednesday.
