Members of the Duke men's basketball program were the guests of David Rubenstein, Chairman of the university's Board of Trustees, Monday evening in a private dinner at the National Archives.
The party was treated to a private viewing of historical documents including the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States of America, the Bill of Rights and the Magna Carta.
Following dinner, head coach Mike Krzyzewski surprised members of the 2014-15 team with their 2015 national championship rings. The Blue Devils captured their fifth national championship in April in Indianapolis.
The traveling party will visit the White House on Tuesday, where the 2015 national champions will have a ceremony with President Barack Obama.
