ATLANTA, Ga. – In the championship match of the inaugural East Lake Cup Tuesday, the second-ranked Duke women’s golf team dropped a 4-1 decision to top-ranked Southern California at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Ga.
Duke was in the mix over the first nine holes, but a tough back nine saw the Blue Devils lose four of the five matches in the afternoon. Three different Duke golfers dropped three straight holes during a span early on the back nine.
“I feel great about the effort we made with our win earlier today,” commented head coach Dan Brooks.
