DURHAM, N.C. – After a thrilling quarterfinal run in the NCAA Championship and four student-athletes reaching the round of 16 in individuals, the Duke women's tennis program finished the season ranked No. 8 in the nation, as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced Wednesday.
Duke was one of the biggest risers in the final poll of the season, jumping from No. 18 to No. 8. The Blue Devils used wins over two top-10 opponents to propel them back into the top-10. Over the past four seasons, Duke has been ranked in the top-10 in 48 of the past 57 ITA rankings.
